Job Summary
The Graduate EIA Consultant will deliver consultancy and advisory services to
both internal and external clients to a high level of technical quality and to
program and budget.
Job Duties:
Assist in the management of and support in the delivery of EIA projects to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard
Understand and implement project management principles and fully appreciate the need to work within project budgets
Assist in the project management and preparation of project documents including Scoping Reports and related technical studies in accordance with project timescales
Assist in the production of Environmental Statement (ES) Chapters- and Non-Technical Summaries

Analyse data effectively and carry out desk based studies and site visits when required

Participate in team meetings- client briefs and other meetings as and when required

Prioritise project actions and meet commitments on an on-going basis while taking ownership and responsibility for the quality and completion of work

Produce EIA Programmes- Briefing Notes and other AECOM Project Management Tools

Interact with the EIA and wider Planning team to ensure the smooth running of projects

Keep up to date with relevant environmental legislation- policy and guidance

Research issues as part of the EIA process and to provide ideas- solutions and expertise to the EIA team.

Support business development through the production of Expressions of Interest and tenders- and to continuously improve our service offering for our clients

Understand and comply with quality and health & safety requirements and ensure these are addressed throughout a project

Mentor and develop more junior colleagues with the support of the wider EIA and Planning team

Minimum Requirements

High level of attention to detail

Strong focus on safety standards

Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to work autonomously and without supervision

Strong technical writing ability

Demonstrated time management and organisational skills

A strong sense of commitment- a willingness to learn- and a desire to work in a dynamic deadline driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Science- preferably minimum 2.2 award

0-12 months work experience

The preference is to be chartered with a relevant professional body or demonstrate you are working towards this status.
